For my final Structural Packaging project of the semester I designed clamshell blister packaging for objects that I made by hand with clay. The fictional story that I created to accompany the objects was that they were found on an oceanic planet, the “Gliese 1214b” Talismans were used to monitor the air toxicity levels by its residents. The packaging is meant to tell the story of the planet as well as protect the objects.

Height Map and .STL File for 3D Printing

I created a grayscale height map in Illustrator which I was able to convert into a 3D object to create the mold for the thermoforming of the plastic for the final prototype.
